We introduced the UK’s first greetings cards to be certified by Vegan Friendly UK, and are proud to be able to say with certainty that our products and packaging are entirely free of animal products. This has only been possible with super careful selection of suppliers and partners.

We are committed to never introducing unnecessary plastic into the environment through our supply chain, and carefully select suppliers that share this value.

Our tireless efforts on this front have been recognised with a GOLD Business Champion Award from Surfers Against Sewage, an influential grassroots environmental charity that campaigns to protect the ocean.

Sadly, it’s still very common to find greetings cards individually wrapped in single use plastic sleeves. Certain parts of the industry have turned to biodegradable or compostable alternatives, and while this is certainly a step n the right direction, it is still single-use packaging that will only biodegrade under certain circumstances, or are only industrially compostable. We believe there’s another way…

Introducing our humble easy-peely card catch stickers! These little beauties discreetly keep a card and envelope together and peel off without a trace on either your card or the environment. They remove the need for any single use plastic wrapping, and they challenge the need to find a plastic alternative in the first place. This drastic reduction in demand for packaging material is something we are extremely proud of, and we are actively campaigning to make naked cards an increasingly common sight in stores.

We source our packaging exclusively from an exciting supplier we believe is at the forefront of sustainability within the world of logistics. We feel great posting customer orders out, as the environmental credentials are clearly displayed on our packaging, which is made from 100% post-consumer waste and 0% plastic, making them biodegradable, fully recyclable, and ocean friendly. Better still, the supplier is so local that we collect our packaging directly from their warehouse in an electric vehicle!

All of our suppliers are within 55 miles of us. By keeping things local we're maximising the impact of our business on the UK economy while reducing the environmental impact of our business activities. We also know that supporting local businesses by shopping locally is important to many of our customers, so it's great to be able to guarantee that by shopping with us, the desired local impact is guaranteed.

Our greeting cards and their envelopes are made from 100% recycled paper, while our packaging is made from 100% recycled post-consumer waste. Anything less than this would be unthinkable as it's crucial to us that our businessis not in any way associated with the devastating environmental impacts of deforestation, and therefore our customers aren't either.

Independent artists play a crucial role in creating the rich diversity of art that inspires, provokes thought, and brings beauty, happiness or comfort into our lives. By supporting independent artists you are consuming something that is original, unique, and made with passion, but you're also acknowledging the importance of their craft and advocating for its value within society.

Using 100% recycled paper sounds great, but recreating a conventional whiteness is widely achieved using bleaching chemicals. For this reason, we have carefully chosen to work exclusively with a supplier that uses innovative techniques to remove the need for any chemicals.

We are proud members of the SME Climate Hub, a community of leaders from small and medium businesses committed to halving greenhouse gas emissions before 2030 and reaching net-zero emissions before 2050. Quinn and Quill London has made a bolder commitment to achieve net-zero emissions by 2030, and has made this pledge in the global UNFCCC Race to Zero campaign. We think we've probably already met this target, but we're aiming to have trustworthy recognition of this in place well before 2030.

Our customers love our Carbon Neutral Christmas range of greeting cards, but the reality is that all our greeting cards are made using the same carbon neutral paper.

All of our suppliers are within 55 miles of us, drastically reducing the carbon intensity of our business activities. In fact, our packaging supplier is so close that we collect our supplies in an electric vehicle so as to reduce emissions. The car, and rest of the home are powered entirely by renewable energy.

Our chosen delivery partner is Royal Mail, the greenest delivery option for letters and parcels in the UK.
